Amos House, a non-profit social service agency that provides direct support for men, women, and children in Rhode Island who are hungry, experiencing homelessness and in crisis, is partnering up with Providence Roller Derby to host their 3rd annual Get Gored for Good: The Providence Running of the Bulls event presented by East Commerce Solutions.

The Encierro (Bull Run) is set to kick off Sunday, April 26th right in the heart of downtown Providence. Women of Providence Roller Derby will be equipped with horns and red paint-brushes trying to “gore” you for good. Participants will navigate the 2 mile route with the “rollerbulls” right on their heels. Once the run is finished there will be an outdoor after party in Burnside Park, sponsored by Shawmut Design and Construction, with local food, drinks, live music, and activities.

Providence Roller Derby is a member of Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the community.

“Community service is very important to us and we’ve worked with a wide variety of non-profit organizations in Rhode Island. We are proud to help spread awareness about homelessness and the services that Amos House provides. We also love the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with members of our community. Gored is a really fun and positive event and we are looking forward to participating again this year!
