Meet August’s featured skater, Annie Trackburne!

What’s the background on your name/number?
Annie Blackburn is one of my favorite characters in Twin Peaks, and she showed up in episode 24. Kind of boring…”

Derby History/Athletic Background (if any):
“I played for 3 seasons with Bleeding Heartland, and then 3 seasons with Windy City. I took a year and a half off, and now I have PRD! There was nothing before derby. Nothing.”

annie-trackburneWhat is your best talent outside of derby?
“I can perfectly mimic 92.6% of cats’ voices. I also do a spot on dolphin impression.”

What’s your pump-up jam?
My pump-up jam is Bombs Over Baghdad by Outkast.”

Do you have any fears or phobias?
“I have mild claustrophobia that manifests in different ways. If I get a sticker or tape stuck on my fingers I go into extreme panic mode. Don’t even get me started about that moment when I’m trying to take my shirt off but my head or arms get stuck…”

What’s your favorite food?
“Buffalo sauce. On anything.”

You’re a new addition to the crayon box, what color are you?
“I would say that I would be a bit of an eggplant color. Quiet and subtle, but still fun.”

If someone was to make a movie of your life, who would you want to play you?
“I think probably Kristen Stewart. She really has that angry resting face on lockdown.”

“Life has taught me that sometimes you have to wait a long time for things to fall into place. Derby as taught me to find the holes, not slow down, and get myself to those places on my own terms.
